To be fair, I believe it's a legit hobby to only buy/use expensive cork-sniffer's gear, but badmouthing cheaper stuff sucks, especially when there's a lot of good things out there in the "affordable" section. Let folks enjoy that.

It might be a way to justify forking out wads of cash and trying to avoid the cognitive dissonance though.

Does it have the feel and interactivity of a real one ? This is the part that you really only get from trying it. The only clone I think has this is the Centura but I haven’t tried this one yet. Even the KTR is lacking.

If you can find one, try the Mojopedals Klone. It has 90% of the chewy responsiveness of the original. I don't want to add to the hype but nothing I have tried captures this 100%. The KTR is close but still missing something.

Agree to disagree on that one. I have the Soul Food. There are a couple of settings on it that I really like. I guess it depends on what tones your are looking for or use. I don't know that I can say it sounds just like a Klon but I didn't buy it for that. I bought it just to check it out and found some tones in it that I really like.
