Behringer Klone

My one arrived earlier and I’m letting it acclimatise at room temperature as it was bloody cold .
Out of the box it’s weighty and I’m loving the smaller size of this compared to others I have 👌

They "borrowed" both the name and the exact same graphic.

Not sure what's shittier, that or shamelessly using the same name as Keeley did (Fuzz Bender).

I appreciate the affordability aspect and them making stuff available to people who are on a tight budget, but outright stealing trade dress/product names etc. gives their gear a bad taste.

Warm Audio are in a similar boat, at least they don't infringe on the naming part.

Pfui, Uli, just pfui. Boo.

Show us the inside.

I know context and rig and all that but I could never get the Klon cocked wah sound to work for me
Hmm, I know what you mean, but have you compared it depending on setting, e.g. bedroom playing vs full-band setting?

Mid boost helps cut through nicely, and won't sound as wah-ish in the mix.

Yes I have and I hear a ton of 1k. It’s just not my thing. I already have a cutting Strat and with a klon at times it’s a bit much. Not pooing it tho, it’s just not my thing.

Oh, that explains a lot - the Strat might be why, I guess. I mostly play LP/humbucker guitars and they get along pretty well with that Klone-style honk.

Does it have the feel and interactivity of a real one ? This is the part that you really only get from trying it. The only clone I think has this is the Centura but I haven’t tried this one yet. Even the KTR is lacking.

I have read that these are a very accurate reproduction. I may end up buying one to play with it. They are cheap enough to do that, or find a used one in a few months.

They said that about the soul food and that’s garbage.
Agree to disagree on that one. I have the Soul Food. There are a couple of settings on it that I really like. I guess it depends on what tones your are looking for or use. I don't know that I can say it sounds just like a Klon but I didn't buy it for that. I bought it just to check it out and found some tones in it that I really like.
