Axe-FX III Dyna-Cabs

So... RE: SM7b.

@MirrorProfiles did some experiments with his recently, and he sent me a few example IR's. And I really like them.

It's got me thinking... I might've been a bit premature on the SM7b on the Axe. Gonna go back and give it another go tomorrow after work.
I hadn't really noticed the SM7b until Cliff put it into the Dyna-Cabs and I really liked its sound. Then he switched to the SM57, and, though I use SM57 in a lot of my "Legacy" IR-based cabs, I didn't like its sound at all in the Dyna-Cabs. And, I found it a lot harder to get a sound I really liked, even mixing it with the Ribbon.

I can see using the SM57 on stage in conjunction with a ribbon and then blending, but I'm really happy to see the SM7b back in the Dyna-Cab distribution and look forward to it hitting the FM9.

In case people are wondering what the Transpose feature is, it's just an alternative view of the main Dyna-cab parameters on the onboard UI, showing only cab, mic, position and distance params for each cab slot. On Axe-Edit this is not needed since you see all that anyway.

It definitely makes adjusting those cabs easier as you can use the A knob to scroll which cab to edit and B-E to adjust its params quickly.

Nice to see Fractal add convenience features to the onboard UI!

It scrolls left and right also. I’m not at my FX3, but it seems to have all the parameters.

It’s a sticky setting until we reboot. I asked Cliff if it can be made sticky across reboots because it’s sometimes good to see things in columnar form, and I prefer starting with that view.

is there a way to know what theses cabs are modeled on and what speakers are they?

Someone posted this… Although there have been a few suggested corrections already.
