Anyone buy any gear for Black Friday?

Bought Parralax and considering doing the Native Spark intro deal but holding out because it will end up being more shit to fiddle with and I’m fiddling enough as is.

I’m proud to say that I didn’t buy shit… not one damn thing gear related.

Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve bought anything since the Wampler Tumnus Germanium Deluxe back in July.

Would love to hear your thoughts once you get some sessions under your belt with them. (y)
Does seem to be a teeny bit less bass than my PreSonus Eris E5 XT's and 8" sub. I'll probably try with the sub tomorrow, see what I think. Although that sub may be a bit underpowered for these iLoud 6.5"!

One things for sure, they aren't too big for the room, which I was somewhat afraid of!

Second thing for sure, lol, is the clarity/detail is a massive difference - utterly obvious right from the start, even before calibration.

Third thing for sure, double lol, is I'm a 1st time proud owner of a mic stand - which I didn't think I'd ever buy! :pickle

Awesome Dave, so we is gonna be delving into some Recordings?

Got semi sciencey this morning after adjusting the tilt on the new monitors and opening the blinds on the 2 windows and sliding door.

4 positions to cal from, and two pieces of tape to tell me where to put the 2 rear stand legs, so they're the same for each speaker (have to cal separately).

Results with today's run are a little flatter, not sure if from the tilt down or the blinds being up. Always felt the room sounded better with them up!

And just completed A/B testing the iLoud Precision 6's with and without my Eris 8" sub. Can't tell a difference with or without. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did set the software to "Extra Bottom" which is a 2.5 db boost @ 100hz or less.

What size drivers are in the iLouds? You could be getting cancellation. Try high-passing the iLouds and low-passing the sub at the same frequency?

Try setting both crossovers near the roll-off point of the iLouds.

1.5" tweeter and 6.5" woofers - that supposedly go down to 37 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hz. I didn't believe it, but every review I could find (sites or forums) all stated "subwoofers aren't needed with these".

I passed full range to the monitors, didn't want to change how they were being fed.

I put everything away, lol - I'm getting plenty of bass so I'm probably going to keep it this way, maybe in a few days I'll do it again the way you said.
