Adventures in pedalboard building

Hmm, that’s something to think about. Maybe step #1 for me is getting a bluesbreaker style pedal and stacking it with the ODR-1 and see if that does what I’m looking for before jumping to a miab…

I could see that working for me. Thanks for the suggestion!
Some options...

On my main Board I have a RC boost, then a Nordland ODR-C (an ODR-type with more tweakability) and a Kasleder Mean Bone, which is basically a rat as main gain stages. That's really a lot of different shades of gain that work into a lot of different amps.
To top it off I have an OKKO Holy Grit in first position, which is a transistor preamp//boost/low gain fuzz pedal with a great EQ control and a bias switch. I love it for slide tones.
That's four gain pedals that even stack nicely with each other, although I don't stack that often.
Took a lot of trial and error, but I'm quite happy with my board in this regard.

I don’t want to over complicate, but I’m tempted to do something I like to do with digital signal paths and add an A/B to create two separate pedal signal paths - one for clean tones and the other for drive tones.

I like that because I have some effects that I only use for one or the other, and then I can toggle quickly between something like a clean tones with chorus and spring reverb to a drive sound with a TS and delay in a simple way that doesn’t require Scenes or MIDI

I did something somewhat similar when I was gigging a Mesa TA-30 Amp. One side/channel was
a Vox Platform and the other a Fender Platform. :banana

All analog, though.

Morning Glory is the tried-and-true option for me, I’m tempted to try something new to me though.

I’ve always heard praise for the Blackbox. Another I’ve heard recommended before is the Coppersound Foxcatcher, don’t know much about it though

Something like a Duelist is cool---as it has a BB side and a TS side.

The JHS Double Barrel (TS and BB) and/or Sweet Tea (TS and MIAB/Angry Charlie) may be dual options to check out, too. :idk

Reverb fight, chapter one.

The Swede enters in his hipster lumberjack red shirt and Manchester beige pants and flipflops, wearing a seven day beard and slightly smell of coffee and snus.
“Look boys, I’m the postrock dude in this gang and I always have the biggest reverb” while waving around his Wet pedal like it’s the graal of some ancient civilization…

Metropolis enters the room and decides the Swede should be put down, utilizing the fact that he in fact does have the largest physical reverb in the gang and so proceeds to baseball the Swedes little pussy of a pedal called “Wet” (wich indeed is a weird name for pedal… Brian… WTH) away into the sky, then spanks the Swedes ass with it resulting in cling clang boing sounds.
“spank me again please… it sounds like a spring in the room”

Sorry… I was bored…

I love the Vangoa board off Amazon so much and I bought 2, its perfect size, excellent quality and also the power supply surprisingly good, no noise for me!

This is the board I’m headed to rehearsals with this week. Two different shows - one is music from The Go-Go’s and Belinda Carlisle, the other is surf music and standards.

I’ve decided I like the Morning Glory best with my Theatercaster, and the ODR-1 best with my Strat and LP. So I’ll swap that one out depending on what guitar I’m using. These shows are all Theatercaster.

Won’t win any fanciest or prettiest pedalboard awards, but it’s doing the job for me

Awesome! That’s a damn fine pedalboard.

Just a few days ago! I went shopping for a second delay and found this on clearance for $249 and couldn’t pass that deal up.

I figured if there’s one pedal on my board that would be useful to have digital with lots of options it’s a delay.
