They're really decent guitars. And I own a pretty nice early 70s Ibanez (pre-Artist) for comparison (the only downside of that one being the rather sharp string angle between nut and tuners).

Honestly it's a little too modernized for what I'm looking for.

In the world of easy to find, cherry pick an Epiphone and change the pickups. So factor that into the price. Also if swapping pickups in a budget 335 change pots and switch at the same time.
