What's your favorite digital modeler in 2025?

For me it's Fractal, the Axe FX 3 specifically. That's been my #1 for most of the last six years. To me it's the most powerful unit with great sounds, tons of variety, and is constantly being updated to keep things interesting. It's complete overkill for a home player but having all the inputs and outputs lets me screw around with all kinds of things like bringing in amps via load box, running out to lots of different speakers, even putting other modelers in effects loops.

Downsides of Fractal to me are the UX is cluttered and I really struggle with the cabs/IR's. I just got an Ox Stomp to try to replace the cab block and it's promising.

I'm curious to try the Helix Stadium when it gets released and once they get some momentum in new models. Also curious to try the Fender TMP because I haven't used one and it looks like fun. I'm playing around with a Kemper Player but it most likely will get returned this week as it's limited for the money.

Nah, the drive back would have been longer than to just keep moving lol. There were a lot of winding roads though we were two feet from death off the side of a cliff so luckily they kept relatively quiet at those times!

Definitely Line 6 these days - they hit this perfect balance of sonic quality, features and usability in a way no other brand could so far, IMHO.

Fractal is a close second, but boy do i wish they would revamp their UX already.

If your modeler hurts you every time you have to tweak a reverb, he doesn't really love you.

Axe III, 5-1/2 years now! LOVE IT! Don't give af about the UI, because I want to play, not tweak. Easily the best piece of music gear I ever bought, and a big part of the inspiration to pick up the guitar every day.

I do have the NDSP Archetype Petrucci, and it sounds just as good, with simpler-to-use effects, but run thru the III as an interface, it likes to drop the signal too often (I think the Axe is the culprit), so I just stopped using it.

No. I own the Dream, Enigmatic and Lion. Hopefully soon the Anti.

Right now, my primary is Fractal. Probably for the near future too, but Stadium will figure prominently.

Haven't voted, as I find it quite hard to name one as the primary digital modeler. I'm spread out between:

• Tonex (Tonex pedal, Tonex One and plugin)
• Neural DSP (plugins; Nolly, Asato, Rabea, Petrucci, SLO, Fortin Nameless, Tone King Imperial)
• NAM (NAM plugin and Genome)
• Universal Audio (Enigmatic and Ruby pedals [sold my Dream] and plugins)
• Fractal Audio (my ol' Axe-FX II is still used from time to time, but I'm looking forward to what's next from Fractal)

(I'm also seriously interested in giving the Helix Stadium a go.)

I'm guessing you have to enable the second option. I too can't see who voted what.

OTOH, my favorite modeler right now is Helix Stadium Floor. That's how hyped I am

I come from having a Helix LT for 5 years. I'm quite happy with it, so Stadium is very likely making me happier.

After creating it, if I go to the top of the page and click the "edit" button next to the poll title, I see those options again and can change any of them. You can't see them?

The "show poll results without voting" you mention would be the third checkbox, "Allow the results to be viewed without voting". I'm guessing the same options are available to any user on any poll. But the option the other user was asking for is "Display votes publicly".

The title and poll are a bit at odds with each other. My favorite would be the Helix Floor, but I voted Other because I use the Hotone Ampero 2 Stomp as my primary modeler atm.

Very rarely do I need to tweak effects on my FM9 I do most of the tweaking on the core tones, amp and cabs and PEQ
Rest pick one that suits the song, maybe a little tweak (Time and Mix) and im off
There are Blocks which dont even need any tweks ask @ brockstar
