Its not whether or not we agree. People here disagree all the time. The problem is your "totally fair" views are not. They are uninformed trolling from a loud mouth who hasn't even touched the gear he is trolling about.

Strong opinions about gear you have no experience with are completely welcome over at TGP, but with few exceptions, the people here actually play guitar and we try gear before bashing it or praising it. It makes things much more informative. Now that we all know you are a troll and a fraud, why would we trust your opinions on anything when there is a good chance your opinion is not backed up by any real experience?

To help focus and clarify comments and discussions in this thread, I think the OP should change the Thread Title:-

the whataboutism is dumb. People keep bringing up axe II to axe III as some reasonable point of comparison. As if nobody remembers just how shit the axe Fx II screen and user interface were. Truly shit, hot garbage. We won’t even talk about the Ax8. The vast majority of hardcore Fractal users had reason to upgrade JUST for the screen improvement.

Helix is already super great in terms of hardware and UI and functionality. It’s not that surprising there are more folks looking at the new gen there and saying “actually, I’m okay on the OG”.

The Axe IV will likely be near or at $3k. There is no way they can improve the UI to the point that the bulk of threads on it don’t immediately turn into “three grand and it’s still like programming a VCR from 1987?!?!?”

And at that price point it’s going to be a special subset of fractal fanbois that are willing AND able to make the upgrade immediately.

Thats always going to be the case with a new gen. But, since it is generally sold out and there are not many used or returned units sitting for sale, can you acknowledge that there just might be plenty of players who do see value in it, and do think its worth the price? You don't think they are all fools throwing their money away right? The Stadium already does things the OG doesn't and those things might make a bugger difference for someone with a different use case than you. And its only going to keep getting better.

Not to the same extent. AxeFx II sounded great but otherwise was pretty awful. AxeFx III improved the worst parts of it - screen, stupidly big foot switch, UI (note I said “improved” not “fixed”). Improving a product specifically in the places that even its biggest fans agreed sucked is going to lead to a lot more folks willing/wanting to upgrade.

Improving a product in areas where it was already really good…might not be so compelling.

It’s almost like each product requires its own fact-based analysis instead of generalized “but Fractal did it too!!!”

I have been binge watching the TV show landman as of late. To me, that show is freaking fabulous.

Are you serious? The worst Sheridan series ever. The women in that show are pathetic and unrealistic and Tommy’s kid is a slow poor actor. Demi moores plastic Botox face is hard to look at and the main guy acts the same character in every movie he is in. Even his t-mobile commercials have him acting the same.

I think Stadium did address some weak points as well as build off of their strengths. It has a ways to go, but I think it is in a pretty good spot for a flagship device. Fractal is going to have to make major leaps in UI/UE and also keep the price of the next gen down IMHO, because I think as Agora and Proxy mature, the ability to out compete Stadium (And QC) on tones and feel will shrink if not disappear.
