Pft. I play a Truxton, not a tele. It is entirely modern, having a full 10” radius fingerboard. My latest acquisition dates from the far future of 1956. I’m no backwards- looking dullard…No, people who play guitar designs that haven't changed since 1951.

I constantly accidentally turn the volume down on my Strat. I'm going to remove a tone pot and move the volume someday lolLike… I guess what I’m getting at is that tons of people have issues with strat knob placement too. I’m not one of those people but I have no desire to invalidate others experiences either

Gibson sells a bunch of high quality guitars and makes a ton of money on them.....
They are called Epiphones and yeah they make tons of money and it's a top quality Gibson product...... better than actual Gibsons too.
Not sure "what's going on" and IMO they seem to be doing a pretty good job selling top quality Gibsons under the Epiphone name.

Ironically, Epiphone is the only reason Gibson stays a float.
On Epiphone Les Paul guitars the headstock angle is 14 degrees, Gibson is 17° ..... that's the reason Epiphone Les Paul guitar stay in tune much better.

Most Gibsons made in America are Subpar vs Top Shelf Epiphones made in China.......
Practically Gibsons made in China under the Epiphone name.....
Unfortunately due to an artificial tier level for example you can't get a long tenon build on a USA Gibson 50s LP yet Standard Epiphone Standard 50s LPs offer as good or arguably higher build quality in terms of basic features for far less money.......
It's just complete BS and American manufacturers such as Gibson should offer as good offerings as their Chinese made counterparts from Epiphone and by all means better but they dont......
MIC Epiphones today are as good or better than even Gibson USA or Murphy Labs/Custom Shop or not that far off by simple logic and common sense and comparison relative to one another.
It's not rocket science....... whether it's made in China or America and either way I love my Chinese Epiphones and they are as good or better than American garbage being made now on average by comparison IMO......
And for no real reason other by the notion of artificial tiers Gibson created.

As of the end of 2023 Gibson has 34% of the US market share and 19% of the global market. Epiphone has a 4% market share in the US, however I couldn't find the percent of global market share for Epiphone. It's probly a significant number though.
Both Gibson and Epiphone are doing well and they are paying good money to people in their organizations to crunch numbers, stay on top of market trends, market perception of their product and find out a lot more info than the general public has access to related to sustaining and growing their businesses.
Nevertheless Gibson hate is doing fine and shows no signs of abating in the near future.
