So I watched bits and pieces Grace Under Pressure live and Show of Hands last night. Geddy has been talking in the press about getting together with Alex and doing something "Rush" related.

1. Do NOT get Portnoy. Too eager and to by the book. Get someone with some flair.
2. Listening to Geddy try to hit Temples of Syrinx 35-40 years ago makes it apparent that they could certainly use someone in his place for a LOT of this material if they decide to tackle it at it's original tuning. As much of a purist as I might be with this idea; I am kind of interested in what could be, nonetheless?

They could just go with a virtual Neil Peart in a holographic sphere. Geddy Lee is going to have to sing though.

Aaah, someone else who knows of Junior Brown. Cool!

Saw him at a small club with table seating, so we had dinner (right up front) at a table w/ 2 other couples, which was also really cool! Then watched Junior run through his eclectic set of material, constantly wowing us, and showing just how possible it is to blend styles of Les Paul & Mary Ford, with Jimi Hendrix, and surf music! Oh, and good ole, down-home country twang.

Yeah, Junior is awesome. Never seen him live though. I've been listening to western swing/country on Pandora all week.

Fun as fucking hell revisiting this whole album. What a burner. Gary was melodic
and shreddy as fuck before shred was even a thing. To my ears his lead playing
is just so full of fire and passion. Like he's playing for his life.
