Man, I love being such an old, worn-out fuck who still finds new to me music to get
super stoked about. Happened a few times in the past year and happened again
yesterday. :banana

Maybe some of you are aware of Agra, but I had not heard them (knowingly) until
yesterday. Giving me Power Metal vibes. Dash of Helloween and Savatage. Proggy
and yet heavy. I dig it.

Oh, and was this the band Kiko Loureiro was in prior to joining Megadeth?

Spent a great deal of the mid to late 90s listening to Angra. Killer!

The reality is I am both.... both older and also more worn out than I have ever been in this lifetime. :idk

Also more experienced than ever before. :chef

I can embrace both facts simultaneously. Fortunate to have 2 hands to do so.. :beer

:rofl

It's a big reason I started focusing in on JP's guitar music. I know it's good for my brain.

Right now I'm working on that weird AF solo in Just Let Me Breathe, and Idk WHAT scale, if any, it's based on, so for me, it's sheer memorization. There are some patterns to the licks that do repeat, but it's still a brain teaser.

And to make it more work for my brain, I'm trying it in different places now, since my first attempt at where I want to hit all the notes, and with which fingers, just ain't workin'. So it's like I need to fry my brain some more, and memorize something different, in parts.

I can feel the new pathways being forged!

Tom your listening to Dream Theater?

Oh My God Reaction GIF

:grin
Other than the new album, DT gets mixed proportionately in with everything else I like.

Now, playing, yeah, that's uh, what I do 98% of. :rawk

Like, I hadn't heard that song in years. (Or maybe instead of "like", I could've said, "To whit." Is that the right usage of that ancient way of communicating?) :rofl
