The missus and I went down a dark path last night and watched the Titan submersible, and Oklahoma City bombing documentaries on Netflix last night.

Such a shame in both situations.

My son told about this one and the HBO one when we chatted on Sunday. The founder/"engineer" of this company was NUTS from all I have heard and read. Ugh. I want to watch it but the wife doesn't like deep water stuff so this might be a "watch while she's asleep" thing

Just came here to post that I watched this last night and actually made it through the entire thing!

I would HIGHLY suggest watching that one without the wife, there was a moment even I had to pause it because the anxiety. The dude was a fucking lunatic. It’s quite astounding how it all happened, definitely worth the watch. It’s rare I’m as engaged as I was with that doc. It’s thorough, too. They’ve got all the meeting recordings and documentation leading up to the implosion. By the time the event actually occurs, you won’t be under any confusion over what went wrong, that’s for sure.

In a way, I only feel so bad for those passengers, I mean, if you're going to do something like that, you better know EVERYTHING about that CEO, the company, and the vessel itself. They clearly didn't do their research.

One of my old clients actually rode on that thing on one of the earlier trips. I could say a lot more, but not in writing.

We've been watching The Wire. It's been years since I saw it, but it really still holds up.

It's wild looking at early 2000s crime drama with 2025 eyes. So much has changed. To make this series today, the cops would have to be wiretapping criminals' Whatsapp groups or something. A lot of the crimes would have plots revolving around somebody having filmed it on their smartphone. Stringer Bell would be a paranoid wreck only a few episodes in.
