What are we watching now?

Better Call Saul, again. Er, episodes I didn't get to last time. I love the show, but damn I can't stand Jimmy McGill, Saul Goodman, or Bob Odenkirk.

Obviously his characters are real POS's, but I also can't stand Odenkirk's style of acting. His gravelly voice he overuses, his grunting/deep breathing, his mannerisms, his exaggerated voice inflection, oh that's the worst..., just all of it is almost too annoying to enjoy the show. He's the same way in Nebraska, so it ain't just the character.

But the others make up for it. Mike, Gus, Nacho, even Howard and Chuck are all great.

I'd love to watch a version that only has the cartel plot lines, and only involves Jimmy where necessary. I even skip through some of Odenkirk's parts.

I love Mia Goth :love

Infinity Pool was a pretty good film with her
The whole "aw shucks" thing combined with "I have no eyebrows" weirdo set back in the 20s or 30s (or whenever) makes me twitch on that second flick in the series. Of course; for similar reasons thats why old man 80s kid LOVED Maxxine. Body horror is a tough one for me. It's one I'll have to catch while the wife is sleeping most likely :ROFLMAO:

Watched Terrifier 3 yesterday. Lordy what a gorefest :nails Such a strange mix of "regular" scenes that seem like they are out of a Lifetime movie mixed with gore from the grimiest of grimes. If you dig it; give it a watch. I think I'd love a slapstick comedy that focused more on the humor of Art instead of the not so humorous part. Of. Art.

Just for the record, I have seen 2 or 3 Lifetime films, and they were pretty fucked up for a TV movie. Maybe not plunger rape scene levels of fucked up, but still.

Watching "Destroy All Neighbors" on Shudder.

Silly, but funny. Not really horror, unless you view imposter syndrome as horrifying.

I think I watched the trailer but didn't pull the trigger on that one? Shudder is very hit or miss. It's so cheap though it's hard to dump it. We had Screambox for a few months and that was young enough and content poor that it was a short lived subscription.

It isn't too bad....just a bit cheesy, but in a good way.

Still on the trial period, so we are still trying to decide.

The wife like the Dragula series....so I may be nice and keep it so she can finish it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have Screambox and enjoy it for the most part. They recently started doing a few ads before the movie, which I'm not keen on. As long as they keep it before the movie, I'll be fine. If they try doing ads throughout the film, I will be dumping it.

Joe Bob is probably the only real reason to keep it. I'm not keen on the way they've done this year's season, though. One film, every two weeks, with the purported notion of having Joe Bob "most of the year," which isn't entirely true. Darcy also needs to shut the fuck up more. No one wants to see you be a rude git; we are there to hear Joe Bob.

The reason they changed it from ten or so consecutive weeks, with a double feature, to one film every other week is so that people couldn't just use a few burner email accounts to get free access then dump the service. That's asking a lot, frankly, since you can buy AMC+, if memory serves, for only a dollar more and would only need to wait until the Sunday after it airs live to get access to it.

I am all for revisiting it. More horror is always good! It was very bare bones when we had it. I see them adding stuff here and there and that's good. I am all about commercials beforehand. You have to pay the bills. Just don't put them throughout the movie

Agreed. It's just a bit of a sell job considering that you pay for the service, so paying plus ads is going to be a dealbreaker for lots of people, unfortunately. That said, when Terrifier 3 is released to streaming, it is going to Screambox.

It's been around a bit? I believe it's associated with Bloody-Disgusting. Hence the Terrifier 3 official stream probably? They have a channel on the Roku store and I assume you can stream via whatever web connected device.

You are talking about shudder right? Or am I absolutely nuts?

2 convos at once involving 3 people... recipe for confusion.
