I see two barrel knobs, not one. That means there's a tone control somewhere up in hurr.

Are you needing the Bourns no-load 500K pot w/ detent part number?

The Bourns 500kΩ low-friction pot is in that little bag.. tough to see in that photo.

Those 2 knobs are from a Kramer Striker I sold on teh Ebay 20 years ago.. I figured they may look right on this build.

If you get the no load pot with detent, the tone knob when full up (detent "on") bypasses the tone circuit a la 80's hair metal circuit style.

The tone knob set below full up (which is again, detent "on") works just like a normal tone knob.

You get the best of both worlds (tone control / no tone control) in one easy to use tone knob package. The detent - you can feel it "click" into place so you know it's bypassed.

I did this with my Charvel and lurve it to death.

There's always been no load pots available (Fender typically), but ones with a detent are difficult to find. Bourns makes one. 250Ks, too.

I toyed around with having them drill for two inserts into the control cavity - one for volume and the other for a cut-out switch, but I opted for just the volume pot.

So it'll be one hot PAF pickup, into volume pot, and straight to output jack.

Ed hid a tone pot in the control cavity of the Bumblebee.

:sneaky: :p

It was the Roland 10 band pushing the magic plexi's front end, which was browned out by the variac (was in the studio with EVH and that rig back in the day).

Built me a Warmoth SSS Strat many moons ago, and I still have it (great git box).

Tried that for the first time the other day and got chills..

I bought a 1979 Boss GE-10 from a guy in Austin a couple years back. Unbelievably pristine unit.

Switched the power transformer from 100V (Japan) to 110V. Very clean GE-10. Amazing, really !
