Vox Stomplab appreciation

As much as I rag on Vox for not taking their modeling gear seriously, I have to say that I have a Stomplab IIG that hasn’t left my signal chain for years. I use it every time I play out, at least as a volume pedal. Over the years I’ve used it for the amp models, dirt models and compressor. It works reliably and sounds fine-to-great, and probably is the most practical $68 I ever spent.

I always wonder about the Vox modeling. The Chicken head knobs are super appealing despite the clock radio interface.

Also; the cheapskate in me wonders if ol Timbuk was onto something

Lol. Programming it is just like a clock radio- you kind of can’t tell what you’re doing and just decide you didn’t need the alarm anyway and you’ll know if it’s daylight savings or not.

In all fairness I do have to keep the manual around to program it.
