Has anyone checked out Borderlands 4?

I was addicted to the first 2 installments, but I never played v3,van 4 was recently released.

Is it more of the same, or something new worthy of reigniting my obsession for chasing the next cool weapon?
:facepalm

I had planned to dive into it after beating Silksong, but it sounds like the Switch 2 version was delayed which is a bummer. I play exclusively on the Switch because I'm lazy and my teenager has the Xbox in his room. Picked up the Switch 2 about a month ago in large part to better enjoy newer games like BL4.

Like you I was really addicted to the first two games. I played BL1 a ton when it first came out, then same with BL2 when that came out. Pre sequel and BL3 were okay but didn't grab me the same way. I think the skill tree wasn't as interesting as the first two games (I loved the sirens in those). But I'll definitely grab BL4 and see what it's all about.

Same. I actually got to phase 3 after only a few fights but only have made it deep in phase 3 one time. But I'm feeling less discouraged than I did on some of the early bosses. It's a matter of time and experimentation to figure it out and maybe a bit of luck.

It's funny you and I have been progressing through the entire game at the same rate lol

What's killing me is phase 2 & phase 3, Lace will summon multiple environment attacks and then do a physical attack. But I can't see what's happening because all of the attacks are black so I have to guess where to go.

I did mess around with all the crests and Reaper seems the way to go here. The longer attack helps where with Wanderer I keep dashing into her and taking damage.
phase 1 is pretty easy, you just need to stand still and react. The reaper crest is good for pogoing off her. Phase 2 is just annoying, sometimes you get all the environment attacks at the same time and you need to dodge Lace as well. And get a hit in every once in a while.

Finally beat the boss and finished the game with 100% completion. Really difficult but enjoyable boss fight once I figured out phase 3.

all came down to very quick reaction times on recognizing the physical attacks during the environmental attacks. Very satisfying when it was over.

But it looks like there’s two other endings…

I realized that I was missing only 2 mask pieces from another mask, so I went out to grab them. Now I have 9, which should basically allow me to take one more hit from the final boss. Maybe it'll help.

Are there more endings in act 3?

There's five endings from what I found. The basic ending in Act 2, the other ending that opens up Act 3, and then the true ending from Act 3. There's two other endings though, one you need to beat the game while "infected" (part of a quest you need to complete to get 100%), and one that's a series of riddles. I'm guessing the latter has something to do with those weird signs that list of numbers.

I'm working on completing the Hunter's Journal and then will start trying to solve those puzzles.

I may also start a new game and see if I can complete the first ending to get the speed run achievement. I highly doubt I'll be able to do either of the steel soul achievements with this game but I think I can get all the others.

I finally got to Lost Lace phase 3. Died almost immediately. But there's hope!

I completed the hunters journal. Getting the last entries required a lot of tricky platforming. So I did everything in the game outside of a few achievements.

Fired up a new game to see if I can speedrun the first ending. Made it to Greymoor in about 45 minutes but I got stuck on those stupid craws. I did beat all the bosses on first or second try though. Now I’m nearly up to the widow fight in under 2 hours but we will see if I can get past act 1 quick enough.

what I don't understand is that I'm missing like 40 enemies. Where the hell did they hide 40 of them?! I haven't lost hope with Lost lace yet

I was the same way, I think I hadn't encountered about 40 enemies and had to complete about 100. I definitely had to look them up because a lot of them are in hidden areas. The last few enemies were in an area that was extremely hidden away but was really cool to explore. I hope they build that out in future DLC.

For Lost Lace I just had to practice on and off for a couple days. You almost have to get in a rhythm and be comfortable with being surrounded by all the attacks. I actually would just focus on my peripheral vision at times to scan for where Lace appeared because she would spawn behind those attack columns.

For phase 3, when she jumps in the air and shoots out the saw blades, go underneath her and attack from below, then she will jump off to the side and you can jump and float over the saws. When she shoots out the columns from the ground, dash to the other edge of the room. When she spawns those stupid missiles, try to calmly keep moving. Occasionally you get bad RNG and there's both seeking missiles and columns so you will run into one of them. The waves are easy to jump over after a few tries. Last attack is the white circles so you have to get out of the way of those, and then she will slam the ground and create spikes so best to just dash off to the side of the room.

If you haven't already, getting full needle upgrades and full masks helps. Also getting the fully upgraded crest which lets you hold extra tools is great. Then you can run something like extra healing, silk regeneration, and quick healing so you can dash out of the way and heal when you're down four masks.
