Victory VX Kraken MKII vs Super Kraken

Super Kraken 100 or Kraken 50 MKII? I've owned Victory amps before and find them to be super-well built and I'm a fan. I'm considering adding one of their higher gain amps to my arsenal, but I can't choose between these two. Youtubers seem to get better sounds out of the newer 50w MKII, but the Super Kraken has some goodies on it like MIDI. The MKII seems to sound better and it comes in a lunchbox style package, but is the SK worth the extra $1k?

Let's use Ola as an example of both because, well Ola is awesome:

That MKII sounds pretty darn good in that vid. Tight and chunky.

MK2 all the way. I've tried the Super Kraken at a store a few years back through a 4x12 and found that its master volume was annoyingly touchy. I measured 100 dB @ 1m with the amp on 1, which is just ridiculous.

That’s Mark III with a Black Shadow speaker levels of touchy, yikes.

Unrelated, but I brought my HX device into the local GC, and ran my preset with an OCD and EP Booster, into the front of a Victory DP40, (special version of their V40), and holy shit did it sound good, and that amp sounds great on it's own.
