What a super, nice, small, good sounding device. It can load 100 NAM profiles, the catch is it has to be amp and cab combined (i think)
I don't think I can use a NAM file in a Block, and use the cab block at the same time, that's a bit sad.
But it streams Bluetooth audio from your phone, it's easy to edit from your phone, it even has a drum machine Included haha!

A lot of the amp models sound really good, and there is quite a few factory NAM profiles Included.

Dirt cheap, super cool 😉👌

There were talks that they were working on releaseing firmware to allow IR loading after NAM DI profiles; this was a few months ago. Surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Ahhh, thats cool! I hope they get to it. This would open the unit to more use case

Best $60 I’ve ever spent. Can be used in so many ways even if you can’t find an amp model or capture you like.

Best suited used with a board where the rest of it is analog or alone IMO. Latency is fine but it starts to add up with other digital units/pedals. But fine and versatile as heck in those situations.

Even though I bought it without knowing it didn't do nam+IRs, the feature set/size/ price is still pretty awesome. But it was the first time I actually was bothered by the latency.

The latency afaik is about double that of one UAFX pedal. If you are combining those with the Valeton, or a wireless system, then I could imagine it starts to become noticeable.

It’s a very cool looking little device, not unlike the Tonex One. Is it able to play the high quality NAM stuff or are they doing the same interpolation/conversion similar devices are?

How’s the software?

They are converting like the others. All of the Valeton stuff however turns off the amp and cab block if you pick the Snaptone (nam) option so you have to only pick Full Rig Nam profiles or you need another device to do a cab/ir.

The phone/ipad (not sure on the pesant android platform) app is the only option for the 5 and it's actually really good, you can drag things to change order and it has a good selection of stuff.

I got one, it's a neat little one - but damn that noise floor in the loop of my amp (I'll try another power supply just to rule it out).

I'll put it through he scope and characterize the noise floor and latency.

Presets pretty much suck.

For now I tested it in the loop of my PRS MT-15 and just did gate, a little delay and a flanger - not too bad for $60 bucks.

I haven't tried NAM upload yet.

Try it with headphones or an audio interface instead of the loop.

I don't do headphones but yeah I intend to hook it to my Atomic CLRs as well.

For now a little delay in the loop - it's nice - not the quietest thing in the world - the gate is pretty effective. Delays are basic but hey again it's $60 bucks.

Tuner is workable.

Analog buffer bypass option - though it pops in the amp loop, engaging/disengaging.

Stayed at a hotel for a couple nights. I took a Strandberg and threw the GP-5 and some headphones in the gig bag. That worked out quite nicely.
