YesWhat amp?
Ok – a tuner and a Spruce Goose? Is the EHX Spruce Goose really that great a BB style OD? I have a Wampler Pantheon (not the double one) that has more EQ and voicing options - at least from the specs.
Maybe it is and I’m the one missing out. But I’d probably go with my OG AmpTweaker BigRockPro and a Strymon Volante with a headstock tuner.
My amp has reverb and tremolo already.
I own a polytune and Boss SD-1 in real life.
They are sufficient for me at the moment.
If I were to chose two pedals, I selected a Boss tuner because of the "large-target area" easy to hit in the dark footswitch.
I liked the demo of spruce goose which I saw on youtube. It seemed simple, yet versatile because of the bass knob. I didn't wanna suffer from option paralysis.
Many guitar players can properly utilize different voicing and EQ options on complicated pedals. I am not one of them, and I admit it.
You are clearly not as needy and emotionally co-dependent with gobs of gear like most of us here are.
There's still hope, and time, left.
Ok, I would go for some kind of Delay for sustain and saturation and some minor modulation. A Strymon Deco or El Capistan are excellent but possibly expensive. Maybe a Boss DM-2.I own a polytune and Boss SD-1 in real life.

I have a lot more gear than talent or chops, and don't play live, so might not be the best source of knowledge for you.
I use my Strymon Deco as an always-on tone sweetener and for sustain, not a prominent delay, fwiw.I don't think I have too much talent or chops. I have seen musicians who are much more proficient than me, but they don't play live often.
I don't have any other option than playing live. Helps me keep food on the table.
I had asked for help around here sometime back when I tried to incorporate a delay pedal. It felt too much work, so I just returned the delay pedal I had bought. I am also a singer, so playing with a prominent delay and switching it on and off seemed difficult.
That never stopped many guitar players! :)I am aware of my limitations and mediocrity. This ensures I don't spend too much on gear.
It's ok, for the $0.00 it cost me. I'm really wanting something small and tube powered lately. I don't play anywhere but home. Christmas is coming. I should drop some hints.
Ill check that out. I had one tube amp. Carvin x100 i think. I bought it a long time ago. My son has it now. I didn't tell him he could have it, he just took it. Fine. I told him it was ok, just dont sell it or trade it.I saw a small "monoprice" branded tube amp in a store which was on sale recently. It had a small, perhaps 10" speaker. Volume, tone and gain knobs. Noodled on an epiphone SG plugged into it and it sounded good.
They said such amps are available online too. If you are looking for a small and tube powered amp, you may like it.
