Two chunky delays!

Got the 2290p in the mail today, had some fun comparing it to the massive Korg. I'll give the nod to the Korg for in front of amp duty due to what it does to your dry signal, fattens it up a bit with that preamp, the 2290p makes your dry a tad more crispy.
But I can get them to sound very similar in front of for doing Edge-style delays. (duh)


But the 2290p shines in stereo, does sooooo much cool stuff with panning, using phase, BEAUTIFUL chorus, cool flangers etc etc..

It's incredibly versatile for having just a single delay line.

I really think I’m going to end up with the 2290p over any other delay. Not even gonna lie, the old school aesthetic is a huge part of the reason, but mostly because every guitar tone I really REALLY love, has a 2290 creating part of it, whether it’s Gilmour or Petrucci.

TC delays are really good, no question.

I had the Vox DelayLab, which I don't know how it really compares to the Korg, but I believe they're related. I didn't like it.

In addition to the SDD-3000 mode it has a bunch of other delays, probably the Delaylab stuff. I never use them, SDD-3000 mode is where it lives...:)

The 2290P has been on my list for a while. Still is, but I just grabbed the Halo Core that I've been wanting for a while.

Thank you! No Dynacabs, I used the OH Blackback IR that comes with those Friedman IR-X/J preamps, I friend sent me the IR's to check out and they are awesome.
I used the 2204 mod model in the Axe. I EQ'ed it a tad fatter in Logic.
