V30s appear to not be made in China anymore. Also, the Marshall speaker is not the same.Marshall vintage are exactly the same, just a different sticker, also made in China.

I was only going on what Paul ( Marshall ) told me I haven’t looked into more than that.V30s appear to not be made in China anymore. Also, the Marshall speaker is not the same.
The Marshall is based off of the original V30 "recipe" (which is possibly one of the most varied speaker in existence today). Mesa demanded that they continue to make them in the UK and with certain things still in place. According to Randall on his channel, they had changed them and Mesa could, apparently, hear a difference in isolation. I bought 2 V30s from Mojotone recently (paired with two UK made G12H-30 Anniversary speakers) and they were made in the UK.I was only going on what Paul ( Marshall ) told me I haven’t looked into more than that.
Greenbacks are lovely.I like the raunchiness of Greenbacks for distorted tones
Yeah but we helped.China is made in china.
Congrats, those are a great cab. Hope you get lots of enjoyment with it. I got a Orange PPC-212V almost a year ago and play it almost every day. If you think the speakers sound good now, you're gonna be even happier in about a month once they break in. Mine gots the made in the UK Celestion "Creambacks" in it. It looks like the horizontal cab gots Celestion Vintage 30s and the Vertical cab gots Celestion Creambacks.Got an Orange ppc 212 closed back yesterday. gc used came through, great price and it was decently packed.
It rips. I really like it. I have an orange 4x12 but it's a pre ppc one w t75s which I like but I think I like the v30 a little more or it's just honeymoon stage lol.
Still deciding if I like stacking them vertically or horizontally more. The wideness of horizontal is cool but getting speakers more ear level is nice too even though it seems way louder. Probably won't bring both to shows but I might bring the 212 when I know I'd be using someone else's 412. It's pretty easy to carry compared the 412.
So yea... orange makes really good cabs lol
Not Dishwasher Safe .China is made in china.
Nope, I wouldn't drop it either.Not Dishwasher Safe .![]()
My mixing is not good by any means but there is definitely something going on within the 6k range as well for the guitars if you add an eq....in any situation/speaker.Here's a little piece of information that everyone who records Celestion speakers should know:
1. The biggest variation in frequency response between a smooth Celestion and a spiky one is the 5-6kHz region, right where the drop-off begins.
2. The SM57 boost the 5-6kHz region by 7dB.
If you get Celestions with extended frequency response which are usually Chinese ones but not always, the SM57 will not be the best mic for it.
I assume golden age 60-70's Celestions and '87-'04 V30 were smoother so the SM57 sounded 'correct' on them.
That's why I prefer extended range Chinese V30 in the room, but a smoother V30 infront of an SM57.
Marshall Vintage vs Marshall Greenback in my personal cabs.
