Trivium? Reamping Some Stems with Tonex

Saw these stems and thought it would be fun to check them out.

Short clip to see how it would sound with a Recto. This is Tonex using DI Recto captures and an IRs.



My test sounds quite different from the original. Note: the DIs are not from the original.

I setup the guitar tone to be scooped Recto tone. I hadn't listened to the original prior. I was kinda shocked at the difference.

I think the Recto could get closer also.

I'll probably take another stab at it.

Except live, they at least used DSLs in the 2000s. I don’t know why they’d use 5150s in the studio but DSLs live, but I’d love to find an article that explains that
