We might've been through this already, but to this day, the name of "the small Kemper" irks me.

It doesn't profile, so why is it called Profiler Player, and not Profile Player? That's what it actually is, why not, Christoph, why not???

If I ever get my hands on one, first thing I'm gonna scratch that "R" into oblivion to reveal the truth.

I have read that the ToneX profile ecosystem is much bigger than the NAM although I agree instead of buying Max I should have just started with that.

Bigger does not mean better. Tonex captures are absolutely littered with things like captures converted from Kemper, captures of other modelers, and the lack of good metadata makes them difficult to figure out what is what. It's basically trying to find gold in a sea of crap, whereas on NAM you're only digging through a lake of crap I suppose.

ToneX is like the Helix of profiling. Maybe not the best, but seems to have most users / best marketing / largest ecosystem. Honestly the reason i shied away from profiling is the same reason i dont collect irs, too much work. Tbd if i will use it.

What im dreaming about, really, is to play amp captures through my real amps and see if i can emulate them with eq tweaks on my real amps. Just a tinker hobby.
