Instead of replying to each thread I’ll just say:
We don’t eat processed foods except vegetables that are processed by being frozen.
We don’t eat sugar and the only reason we have some in the house is for feeding the yeast when we make bread or pizza (not very often).
The wife enjoys a soda once in a while, I do not (can’t stand them).
We don’t eat the sea bugs or pig products for religious reasons. That made keto hard as bacon is a huge part of it.
We don’t do alcohol but we are trying it with dinner as part of the Mediterranean diet. We are not fans of wine at all.
We mostly gave up on the gym but I lift heavy weights and wrestle a machine every weekday for my job. The wife has a stationary job so we should be trying to get there again.
Calorie counting doesn’t work.
Basically, there’s no where else to turn for me except dietary restrictions of food groups. Keto does work for both of us and we will probably, begrudgingly, go back to it this winter.
