I’m a basic bitch millennial and for no logical reason racks kind of give me the ick
THAT SAID
Looking at snake split options and want to build a proper rack for our XR-18 and IEMs. Right now the xr just precariously lies on the ground face up in the practice space. Have yet to roll it love vs just getting aux sends for IEMs but coming soon…
yeah trying to consolidate into the apartment from years of pipe dream storage/testing, these are all empty now as of 1 hour ago
these are gonna need wheels
ideally i just want the whole lot in one stack. I'm thinking a 12 or 16 on wheels for the heavy ass power amps and a few of the duplicate preamps then a 2 post for the majority of the daily driver preamps, most are really light, you could just pick the whole thing up and plop it down where you want it, desk/cab/floor...
hell yeah mesa graphic eq on a "post gain" tone stack mesa only exists in two places that i know of, Formula Pre and the Nomad. maybe the DC as well? for cleans it's amazing cause you always have two EQs in series ready to go. Something about those 90's mesa clean circuits, they're raw af by themselves, they feel like playing an acoustic instrument all hollow and resonant and snappy
