Fucking awesome. Sweet jeebus. Beast mode pedal.
It took me two days to wade through the base programs. Some truly epicpresets programs. Most you don’t even have to tweak, just profit.
Figured it would be pretty easy then to demo the rest of the individual algorithms isolated, but there are a shitload of presets for each of the sub algorithms and I’ve only made it through the delay, reverb, and pitch stuff individually.
These dudes get it. You select a Hall algorithm, and there are 17 presets, all with a bunch of super unique and interesting varieties, then just one called “Hall” aka your dads hall reverb patch.
“Yep that’s a good hall, let me go back to one of those time warped wtf halls”.
Blackhole reverb…
Wormhole reverb
Dual verb…
For much of my life I despised shimmer reverbs, but their shimmer algo is epic and not in that Strymon Sunday Shimmer sort of way. When you open the shimmer block and see presets Hells Gate, Dark Angels, and Demons Call…
Same with the reverse algos. I’ve never been much of a fan of reverse stuff, but the reverse delay and reverb algos are the best I’ve heard.
Pitch stuff. Amazing.
iPad control app… you glorious bastards
So far, could not be more impressed with the sounds in this thing.
The one bad thing:
What a dumb fuck naming convention and structure tree. User lists, bank lists, programs, presets, algorithms. Ok, I didn’t know there would be a test involved here, but that’s not too bad right? Except none of the shit means what you would conventionally think of them as. A program is basically a “preset” on any other device, but don’t confuse that with what they also call “preset” which is some subsection of “effects” arbitrarily called “algos”. You make it to an Init patch and stumblefuck around asking yourself “how do I add an effect?”…. “Oh yeah, I’ve got to go to the preset library to add an algorithm”
Clearly they made the structure in their own dev dork bubble. I just need to get on their wave length which I’m sure I will with some more reps.
In the interim just all iPad control app, which there really isn’t enough chef kiss emoticons in the world to give out, for them having one…
