@James Freeman congrats and thank you for the part you played in shoving this into our reality.

@Digital Igloo congrats on the successful release, and thank you for accepting and responding to our…colorful feedback. As a LP/2204 player, this update brought me home. The low input is a really nice touch and is going above and beyond. We need to put together a beer fund for the devs. I don’t even know what I can complain about now.

Out of curiosity, is this the same 800 modeled in the original PODxt firmware or did you guys have to track one down? Would love to know more about the amp. I thought I remember seeing somewhere that you all had one in the collection.

IIRC, it’s Sam’s personal JCM.

Fwiw, I used to own a JCM 800 (combo) many, many moons ago and basically loved it, but had to sell it because I was into other styles and transportability became sort of an aspect, too. Shame on me, I never exactly looked back or really missed it (only time I noticed missing it was when I had a 6100, which simply wasn't the in same "kerrang" league at all).

So, as a result, I also never understood what that obscure Freeman guy was all about with his nonstop complaining. I was always thinking like "Hey, there's a good collection of Marshalls in the HX series!"

Well ok, ever since yesterday I at least sort of realized what I was missing out on. I absolutely love this model already and it's pretty clear that at least at home this will become my definite #1 for all sorts of rock-ish riffs and such (with the Voltage coming in a very close second).
In fact, at least so far I like it so much that there's some serious tinkering with ideas about how to re-design my pedalboard (and that should tell you *quite* something as I'm very, very happy with it already), because ATM, the Stomp only serves as a delay/reverb device, changing that would require a massive overhaul.

TL;DR Thanks a lot, @James Freeman and Line 6!

Yes, agreed. I've owned a couple JCM800s and this L6 model gets everything right. The attack and response, the "kerrang", the way it cleans up nicely, just everything overall feels and sounds so accurate. Super touch sensitive and feels great, too.

Also, I didn't even touch the settings, except channel level. It was perfect right out of the gate.
