Very interesting. Not sure if have enough of a desire to roll those dice
Is it SundayFunday at the Spawn household?
I'm crossing my fingers for you!
I just ordered a Dragon from him.. same deposit and lead time...Fuck it… I’ll Guinea pig myself. I have ample marks. Just sent $100 deposit. He said 1-2month lead time
What's the Dragon based on?I just ordered a Dragon from him.. same deposit and lead time...
Tube amp “Dragon”What's the Dragon based on?
Man his Marcus is $520.Somebody hook a brother up.
Yea, I don't have a Soldano or a Diezel. Or a 3 for that matter, JP2C and Mark V but really 4 amps in that I don't have.I’m thinking about ordering a Dragon. That looks pretty cool. I already have a 2C+ and a JP2C, but the Dragon has me tempted.
I sent @spawnofthesith a PM cussing him out for my order...Please stop posting details about Crab Amplification. It's triggering a dangerous GAS + FOMO reaction in my brain.
I don't need another amp.

Depends on the amp. The Mark IIIs ran up until 1998 officially, peaking at around 28000 for the serial #. However mine has a 1994 date on the chassis and the serial # is in the 28000s, so it’s possible they stopped making them or severely slowed down on the IIIs since the IVs had been out for some time at that point. 2005 is just a few years before the Mark V showed up and the IVs to my understanding sold very well, so maybe it’s not the case. But the point still stands that the serial #s don’t always align to the build year.May have to take a peak inside my IVb. Unscientifically assuming that that annual production numbers remained consistent over the course of the entire production span the serial would place it around 2005. My tech did give it a clean bill of health when he was in there re-wiring the voltage tap

Careful. I’m getting strong Bugera vibes. I’d be interested to see if it’s quality parts inside these things, I don’t know how he’d get the parts for a Mark amp and be able to sell it for that price.$660 shipped on the IIc++ based unit I dropped a deposit on
(unofficially) I'm going to try and curb this Crab response until I read about your end to end experience. So that gives me a couple months to change my mind and order one anyway. All seems a bit too good to be true but I'm fairly optimistic lol. Definitely will pull the chassis for some gut shots as well
Now the long impatient wait for another amp that in theory should sound pretty similar to multiple other amps I own
