TGF’s Original White Meat: Badlander thread

I hadn't used the Badlander 25 through my custom 2x12 (DV-77s). I finally got around to it and damn this is a badass amp. I hit all three modes while messing around. All the modes are awesome but I was surprised at how much I liked the clean mode with gain dimed. It's very dynamic and responds well to the guitar's volume knob.

I definitely wouldn't mind having a little more gain on tap but I don't have any drive pedals anymore. Maybe an SD-1 is in order. 🤔

Klone works well with them too.

@paisleywookiee as per your post in the other place Im interpreting your laugh react to me being a fucking imbecile for buying a klone and dunes

:somean

:rofl
Goddamnit no! No one here’s a fucking imbecile. Not even some of the newer guys. :love

EDIT

I had to see what you were even talking about, and that was supposed to be a like, not a laugh. I blame @DrewJD82 for not fixing the site on mobile. 🤣

TC=3 boring channels. BL=misunderstood/mismarketed boost eating rock machine.

Obviously; I've never tried a Triple Crown but I know it's a valid statement.

:rollsafe :pickle
I want to defend the TC but I'd probably be doing so just to argue and that's dumb.

I had a TC50 and it was a pretty good amp. I tried a few different tubes because why not. 6L6s, EL34s, and 6V6s. At the time I thought the 6V6s sounded best but neutered the volume and punch too much. So then I got a TC100. It was also a good amp and I did like it better than the 50 when using 6V6s.

But I barely remember owning those amps tbh. So yeah you're probably right.

I like my SD-1 with my Mark way more than I do my Maxon 808. Idk about the Badlander but the gain being so smooth on my Mark, I like the aggressive nature of the SD-1 in comparison.

I was being extreme hyperbolic per usual  :ROFLMAO: The underlying non-interest is definitely a thing for me regarding the TC though:unsure:
