tc 2290 pedal coming tomorrow..

I may have said they're a bit metallic on some algo's at times, but no I generally really like it. I'm a bigger fan of the Flashback II. I've got the X4 of each of them, and I'm considering selling them to get a Plethora X3.

Also, only my wife and my mum call me Andy. How dare you.

I agree. I pretty much keep the Tone control always under 12:00. It's a cool pedal. :cheers

Tell Mum I said, "Hi!"

Looks pretty cool.

Looks pretty cool. Like the EVH SDE-3000 pedal from a few months ago, I'm a bit suspicious of them invoking a sought after model name for a new product. Is it effectively the 2290 algo from the flashback with a retro interface, or is it a faithful recreation of the circuit and converter technology of the original 2290?

Clearly not this, or they would have screamed it from the rooftops in the launch... :p
Demos so far sounds about as exiting as an Ikea bookshelf.
But no reference point so how can you draw a conclusion? Could just be poor demos and most are.

Sounds dull as heck in every demo so far . Mike Hermans is very consistent, and has other delay demos that sounds much better.

This is Behringer after all, not the t.c.electronics we used to know.

until I a/b it with the original I will reserve judgment .

Yup. I have one. I use it on my board.

I was just kind of bagging on the critics of the HOF2. Weren't you one of them, Andy? :hmm

Don't make me go and look.
I am. I had the FB2 and HoF2, and couldn't sell them fast enough. It was one of those things where people raved about them online, so I bought them, and was utterly disappointed.

Calling a single knob a keyboard is a bit much. I get you can't fit the keypad on a pedal but at least call it something like "parameter value" instead.

The keypad was the one nice design thing on the original 2290.

The old rack unit was in a league of it's own.
Oh yeah I know. I was talking about the Flashback 2 and Hall of Fame 2 pedals. I hated them. Not because they were terrible, but because they were so thoroughly mediocre in relation to the hype/praise. IMHO, YMMV, and all that.

What’s the significance of the 2290? Who used it what records, associated with a genre, etc.? :bag
