Synergy Owners Thread

I need to dial it in some more (as well as determine whether I want to change the shunt to be low/high, low/low, or high/high), but the Diezel Herbert module is pretty cool. It is less thick and tighter than the VH4, as well as less compressed than the red channel of the VH4 module.

Hopefully, I can have more time with it tomorrow. Unfortunately, work was a nightmare today because they made shit worse in an attempt to "correct" an issue. Lol

You really know how to double down on the modules you dig! :giggle:

The OS and IICP are pretty versatile. I'd consider more than two IICP modules, but the Synergy Syn-2 has a sort of "bug" that Synergy knows about. Basically, the sag light will stay lit without fluctuation, and needs to go to Synergy for modification. I believe Fryette or Synergy said the Pittbull has a similar issue.

God, The Other Place has some real special ones. I'm apparently a "fucking prick" for telling someone to go re-read this, because they misread what I said:

I am not saying it was not as tight as the VH4; I said it it TIGHTER. I am not saying the Herbert module is not thick nor am I saying it is thin, I am saying it is not as thick as the VH4.

I've had a shitty week at work, so I don't need this crap.

Is that only if you use two of the same module? I've had two Syn 2s and haven't experienced that issue with any modules.

I remember reading that and I thought it was interesting. You are saying the VH4 is thicker, and the Herbert is tighter. I have considered a Herbert, but not sure if I would love it next to all the other high gain modules.

What the heck is TOP? I keep seeing that, but I cant think of what Forum that would mean...
The Other Place, referring to The Gear Page.

I like both. VH4 is wider, fatter, thicker, whatever, while the Herbert is tighter, but has a nice midrange that gives it a bit of growl or bark depending on how you have it EQ'd.

I will have to watch some more videos on both. Not sure if I would like the Diezel sound.

I am kind of holding out for a future DSL/JVM module for now. There really isn't any others I want at the moment.

I actually only ended up with Herbert module by chance but it’s become one of my faves for leads. Which kinda surprised me,since I used to seriously prefer the VH4 head to Herbert head

I own the SLO II and the Uberschall.
Which high gain module sounds significantly different than either of these modules?
I have two Kiesel 7 strings that are my main guitars. The Vader has Kiesel Polarity pickups and the Zeus multiscale has Fishman Fluence Moderns.
The Vader sounds great into the SLO II, the Zeus not so much.
The Zeus sound phenomenal into the Uberschall while the Vader sounds way too piercing into the Uberschall.

The Pitbull is a lot different IMO.
The Powerball gets that ENGL growl.
