Synergy Owners Thread

Been running my Syn20ir with a Killer Kali via 4-cable method for about 6 months now. I love how flexible that module is.

I'm using the Syn20ir cleans, then a 'classic rock' tone in the green channel and a 'CHUG' tone in the red. The switches never move, but the knobs are constantly being monkeyed with, depending on the venue. Picking attack and dynamics are great.

My pedalboard is in constant flux, I have a few. Pics below

Killler Kali is probably my favorite overall module. I could gig with it, and it sounds best for my originals. The JMP handles the range of classic covers we do just a bit better whereas the Kali has a bit more modern spin IMO.

I'm curious what that actually means. Poweramp sims when using the cab sims, because there's a DSP good enough for this built into the amp? Poweramp sims to mimic different real amps so they behave more correctly with the Synergy modules?

Solid-state with a sort of parametric NAM engine with various poweramps profiled?

I'm guessing this will be a SYN20-IR combo.

Well, scratch "Pick up a Synergy amp" from my 2026 plans if there's no SYN50-IR.

I don't think I'd be up for "SYN2-IR" rack box with the new poweramp sim, and running that to e.g my Fryette PS-100. That's getting firmly into "Why not just buy a Fractal AM4?" territory.

Yep Orange Rockerverb is the module

New power amp is the SYN tech

Hardware :???? Not a SYN 50

Sounds interesting I guess. Kinda funny to see Dave F contributing to a digital power map solution.

This kinda thing seems good for someone looking for a versatile power amp who’s not going to be put off by solid state/digital but still does want to do FRFR. I.e. it sounds like a Cab oriented solution. They said it’ll have a HiFi mode too but that is not really its primary design objective from the sound of things.

As someone with a Syn2 rig and multiple power amps, and has all kinds of options for power amp sim and SIC simulations, etc; I’m not sure it brings that much to the table for me but it could certainly be fun to play around with and some folks will want an all in the box solution. I guess the price point could make it tempting if it lands in the right zone. It’s a neat idea.

For the Orange module: ‘bout time!

A Rockerverb module is an insta-buy. I pray to Jobu that it’s an official collab so we get the Orange faceplate.

I Hope Please GIF

As for the skynet power amp solution, I’m curious what they’ve cooked up, but these are old school analog dudes, so I have a great deal of caution that they’ve somehow cracked the code that others haven’t. Interesting nonetheless.

I think it Politeleo that is their designer , if I am not mistaken he might be Pete Diezels kid , he also did all the programming on VHX
Dave just talked about it on his tone talk recently that they have a whiz kid doing all the programming for the power amp sims on the IR X

That’s cool. Makes all the sense in the world that they would try to come up with some compelling in the PA space for their tube preamps. Curious to see what they’ve come up with.
