Repost from my other thread but in a world of compact QC and AM4 I find this ironic
It's under the Friedman brand - looks like it can "profile" how your amp + a given cab / speakers interact and you can then use that when using the thing as a simple reactive load. But is it the product named by Synergy or something different? Honestly, it seems to me to be a twin of the Torpedo Reload II, probably improved, but I don't understand the benefit (apart from the IR side) with regard to the Synergy system, which already has a stereo power amplifier that most likely sounds better than any solid state adaptation.

it would be 3 racks spaces biggerFor the non-SIC inclined, how would this differ then matching the Cab/SIC in an AxeFX?
I feel like the V30 is not the best choice for this. I would expect this appeals more to those who are using the lower gain modules. Creamback or even a Greenback would've been better.
Yes, there were pics posted from NAMM somewhere of it.Didn't they hint at an Orange RV module? I just remembered seeing them saying that on FB before NAMM but didn't see it.
That 1U is more in line with what I was hoping for, or a syn-1 with the power amp sims of the 20IR for pure direct use. Maybe next yearYes, there were pics posted from NAMM somewhere of it.

There was also a leak of pictures of a prototype of a 1U rack power amp they built for an artist to road test that is based on Wampler pedal head/Friedman IR Load ML tech. Not expected to be announced anytime soon, though.

There was also a leak of what appeared to be an IR loading head switcher or something.

Will be interested to hear your opinion on the Herbert module.I bought two Synergy Syn-2 preamps and a Diezel Herbert module. I will have the following setup:
Herbert IICP IICP VH4
One IICP will be more clean and medium gain for rhythm*, while the other will have overdrive and higher gain for lead**. Bass for both will be adjusted accordingly, maybe ~8:30-10:00.
*Clean volume higher, Lead volume added to make it suitable for rhythm, treble adding some gain as well, with less mid than the other module.
**Clean volume lower than the other module, Lead volume high, treble adding less gain, mids relatively higher.
EQ sliders will be a 'soft' V, as I don't want Metallica. The big thing seems to be keeping the module volumes around 11:00 for the Clean channel and 12:30 or so for the Lead channel, then using the master volume on the Syn-2 around 10:30 or 11:00. Having them lower sounds awful.
I plan to pull the Herbert shunt so both channels are "low" gain, and using the VH4 module for higher gain. Not sure if I will use the mid cut option on the Herbert, but if so, I will likely use them lightly, so they scoop a little bit, but not a ton. Maybe around 9:00-10:30.
I think the whole module system is a bit subject to hype. Will be interested to hear your opinion on the Herbert module.
I’ve seen a few videos on it and it sounds quite good. But it doesn’t seem that talked about.
I own both the plexi and JMP modules - on the whole - I think I prefer the Plexi moduleI think the whole module system is a bit subject to hype.
When the Marshall JMP landed, suddenly all the previous Plexi, Metropoulos etc modules became yesterday's news and less desirable. And let's face it, the JMP does look cooler too!
Have all three Syn "Plexis"... They're all worthwhile depending on what you are going for. The 'Plexi' is like a whole family of amps anway.I own both the plexi and JMP modules - on the whole - I think I prefer the Plexi module
