With my new appreciation from that other thread that no one reads long posts/ paragraphs...
Mono good. Mono robust. Mono hard to fuck up even if sound man stupid.
Stereo good. Stereo fun. Stereo not robust. Stereo easy to fuck up. Bad sound man? Stereo is shagged. Bad mic placement? Comb filtering. bad. Very bad.
Stereo is artificial paradigm. Real sound in space, from amps and drums on stages in big rooms, is not mono or stereo. It's 3d, surround sound.
Me like stereo. Me like stereo guitar rigs when me thinking like a guitarist. Me like mono. Me like mono guitar rigs when thinking about full band production.
