Just curious, since I don't gig, and the presets I share are always in stereo..... was just wondering how many people can even use them?

Right now only mono since my amp is mono, but I do have 2 mono amps and a Stomp XL. I have been thinking of experimenting with using my 2 amps in stereo with my Stomp XL, but since it would be the first time doing something like this, I see a HUGE time suck in my future setting up and dialing in and that has held me off so far.

When I do it, I will probably use Stomp Pre-Amp into the effects loop in power amp mode unless anyone has a better suggestion. I love my Stomp XL, but I know I will need a day with the no one in the house so I'm not interrupted every 15-30 min

Stereo is great at home. Do-able at a gig but I wouldn't bother with my cover band. In recording purposes, especially with working with another collaborator; I have found stereo to be a PITA for me in so far as tracking down level issues and other BS getting in the way of being productive in the process.

I gig in mono but enjoy playing in stereo at home when possible.

Basically is mono when using a traditional cab, stereo when using "FRFR", studio monitor or headphones.

I play 95% of the times through my traditional cab, though.

Stereo is fun.

I've played in stereo (for my monitoring only) with my old band when I was using the 2x12 powercab with them. Was nice to hear delays and reverbs spread around my back.

Since I'm not currently gigging it's usually stereo at home with the HX, unless I'm miking an amp or running it into a reactive load.
I love a good wet/dry setup but playing live I normally ran mono but did often use 2 amps for stereo. Usually amps voiced differently receiving a stereo delay and reverb, sometimes a stereo tremolo. The tones are a bit more complex that way which can work great if the amp and speakers compliment each other.

I play either stereo or mono, both at home and at gigs. It really depends on what my guitar is going through. If stereo is an option I'll generally do that... unless I'm feeling lazy.

Stereo at home, in a gig situation it gets a bit needlessly complicated.

I had a stereo real amp rig and it was just way too much hassle. If I were to do something like that again, it would be modeler and stereo poweramp + guitar cabs.

It looks like more use stereo, one way or another, than I thought......

I'm curious how many folks that are saying they play in stereo are actually playing a stereo signal rather than just dual mono? At home my sound often comes out of both left and right monitors and I will sometimes be using stereo blocks just because they found their way in there, but there is nothing stereo going on.

Mostly just always on stereo reverb. Sometimes dual detuned pitch shift, stereo Leslie effect or ping-pong delay.

I gig in stereo, but only because we have the extra input available. And we’re on in ears. But it really doesn’t mean anything because the only time I hear it is when I kick in a stereo delay or chorus, which is really not they often. Audience wouldn’t know it either way, and all my band mates have me panned to one side or another in their ears, so they don’t know it either.

Is the reverb actually stereo, or simply a dual mono block that allows anything stereo preceding it to maintain its stereo field?

I play at home in stereo, gig in whatever makes the most sense. If the gig works for stereo I go stereo. If not, I put a dummy plug in one output to prevent summing and play in mono - so I build patches that won’t be goofed up if I only send one side to FOH (no ping pong delays for example).

I only ever play in mono. When I track at home though I do duplicate mono guitar tracks and pan one left, one right, and keep one in the center. Seems to work for me.
