Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Tonex V2 work using your computer resources, namely you don't need an internet connection at all? It's a shame that Neural doesn't offer a solution like that.
While for Neural's ecosystem making it cloud based probably makes the most sense...it also means that it might be harder to share or retain full ownership of those captures. Can you export the V1 captures from Cortex Control or are the only options still full backup or upload to cloud and use the Cortex Cloud permissions?
Seems like we are slowly entering a situation where all platforms will have great accuracy captures - provided Kemper can deliver with V2 as well.

Interesting that they have modes for making models of compressors and cabs as well as amps and pedals etc. I suspect whatever Line 6 do on Stadium will have some ability to make models of things besides amps and pedals.
I WAY prefer cloud training over training locally, but for people with a high spec GPU they sometimes like to put it to use. If something is being done on a standalone unit already, I'd kind of prefer to just keep it separate. 10 minute cloud training wouldn't bother me at all.
Still not anything that makes me actually want to buy one, but its good that accuracy is jumping across the board.

The atonal capture signal sounds would drive me crazy!
I already felt like the Tonex V2 capture riffs would haunt my dreams yesterday when I made 17 freakin' captures of my Mark V back to back. Those take about the same time as QC V2 captures I think?

Looking at the rest of the CorOS release notes...there's only one new amp model. Sure, it's a Dumble ODS so pretty significant one, but it doesn't bode too well for the whole TINA thing.

Yeah, but now I feel confident that they will add it "soon". They´re doing great with the Nano, IMO.

That was one of their big selling points though.
Anyways, we have a waiting game between Kemper Player and Nano Cortex to see which company delivers promised updated profiling capabilities first I guess.

Capture management is going to be an absolute nightmare. Just like impulse responses. They may sound amazing, but now you have to sift through 15-40 captures of an amp to find the one you want with no real idea of what the difference is. Plus on the Nano you have no screen to figure out what you're doing, so it's all on a phone (or maybe computer).
This is where the Kemper liquid profiling could be a big win for them, if their 2.0 is competitive with everyone else's 2.0. At least you can tweak the captures more realistically.
TINA....yeah, we don't talk about TINA.

Of everything in this update, the MicroPitch is most exciting to me. A long time ago I had a phone call with one of their market research dudes. One of my pieces of feedback was that they needed to up their effects game. He asked for some specifics and dual pitch detune was at the very top of that list. I’m super glad they finally added that.
I also have never captured an amp. Maybe I’ll give it a shot with the baby Badlander.

I'm not about to complain about NDSP finally giving their "flagship" product priority over their other hardware, like a normal company.
I think it's a great sign that they've actually been working on something QC-related, and something pretty substantial at that. Looks like they're trying to establish a roadmap that keeps them relevant vs. ToneX and eventually Proxy. That's a good sign in terms of the overall life expectancy of the QC, so maybe we'll eventually see other improvements as well, e.g. more progress with PCOM.
Also, this is great news for us "lazy dudes who never profile shit ourselves":
Strange that the install would pause at that percentage with a new installation file, of a presumably different size.

Yeah, I would think more people would be using the Nano for profiling, just because it's so portable.
