Seeing Schenker again

I remember as a kid, seeing UFO open and they blew away the headliner, Ted Nugent in 1977.

That was a bad year for Ted, Michael Schenker and EVH, demonstrated to Ted , that his relevancy in Rock was over.

That's why after cutting Fire Lines up on the burning mountains of California, I bought a 1971 Gibson Flying V in 1983.

Still own it. It's been thru seven Canadian Provinces, all lower 48 US States and 6 Mexican States.

It was a bit of a blurry period for me, but I seem to remember seeing Schenker supporting Rush on one of their tours in the 80's, maybe part of Hold Your Fire...? No shade on MS for not remembering; I can't even remember the Rush show!

My friend totally passed out at a Judas Priest Show. I had to carry him out, and we never went back in.

So I did it to him at a Dio show a few months later.



Both shows kind of sucked, to be honest. It was the Turbo Lover Tour for Priest and the
"Hey, put the Keyboard forward in the mix!"-era Dio on the Sacred Heart Tour.
