I know it doesn’t. My sound has always been relatively simple but I am super particular about it. Reverbs and delays are 99% of my fx but they must sound like environments not fx . This rules out most things. H90 in particular is really crappy for that. I like the Fractal versions of classic rack units that I had in the past best. The new vp4 looks like it will crush the H90 on every level. I am usually happy if my amp tone is great and I have a bit of reverb that you can’t even notice. It’s all about the interaction between amp and guitar anyway.

Ahh man you'll get no disagreement from me. Thing is, the III has been the biggest GAS killer for amps in really the entirety of my gear time. I could name off 5-6 amps I'd love to have right now but I know the III would render close enough to useless that I just can't see laying out the $ for. I struggle with that fact quite a bit :rofl

Mostly that is me too. But this came out.

Yeah... Building the amp switcher rig has, ironically, proven to me that the Axe (and others) has crossed the threshold for me; i.e. there's nothing standing in the way of declaring victory on the 'this is all the amps/toanz I've ever wanted or needed in one box' dream/grail quest.

Also, ironically, it has not stopped me from ignoring that and buying more sh*t. :p

You are indeed fortunate as we all powerful Tubians do approve of this new "Soldano X88-IR", as well as the recent Friedman tube preamp pedals, which is extremely fortunate for your worthless species seeing you had been moving ever higher on the list of species to terminate, but these recent products may yet grant you a reprieve assuming you keep up the good work and develope more advanced technology tube powered guitar gear!

Sounds amazing,feels amazing. You would be hard pressed to get a bad sound out of it. Fender clean and SLO leads with everything in between and round the outside. And I’m still playing it dry.

At the moment it’s going through the vertual one and in to my axe rig power. Matrix Gt1000fx and f12x200 loaded Xitone cabs. I haven’t decided exactly where to fit it but it’s going to be paired with an Axe 3 probably 4cable . But I haven’t decided exactly where.
