I am a player, my Bigsbys with Towner bars stay in tune, as well as the other Bigsbys I got.

Yes but then if the strings move beyond the play in the tuneomatic it doesn't stay in. It's a very poor design that only has a place in nostalgia.

No the play in the bridge is by far the most important part. Get this right and the strings won't need to move in the nut to get the small vibrato that a Bigsby POS is for.

My tech gets them to stay in tune no problem. You might have to up your tech skills.

Pros like Brian Setzer and Neil Young use Bigsbys. Their techs can adjust them to stay in tune.

I can keep them in tune but they are utterly ridiculous.
