When you guys say “crack”, are you talking about a crack in the neck? It’s obvious the finish/ clear cracked, but I didn’t see any cracks any deeper than that (in wood). Might have flexed too much before the finish had cured properly, though.

I think that’s a crack in the neck. That is a very typical crack started by a minor knock on the end of the head. Often in a case. But it’s definitely a crack in the wood.

Oh man! I am sorry. That blows. It clearly took a dive with the headstock making hard contact
with something to cause that. You are smart to send it back.
