Always love to see people’s creative spaces where they make music, so please do share them with me and other forumites.

Also a good way to get new ideas and share information on problems with your room with people who have probably gone through the same thing.

These are some older pics of my dinky little music studio.

I then did some basic sound treatment with some acoustic tiles I got online.

And my latest improvement effort has been the addition of these Kryna Azteca sound diffusers that are made in Japan. Still in the process of putting them up.

The biggest problem in my studio has been the low end, which is a bit boomy. Unfortunately, good bass traps are often very bulky, and as you can see, my room cannot accommodate them.

It’s quite a tiny space, making mixing decisions very difficult. But all the tiny improvements I’ve been making have helped somewhat.

I’ll try to post a frequency graph of what my room sounds like based on a reference microphone measurement when I am done with my latest update.

So I finished getting up my “functional wall art” up. Have a dekko.

Sure beats sticking a banana to the wall with duct tape haha

Will be doing some room measurements in a bit and share the results.

A lot of 100hz and sub-100hz low end. Mid frequencies and high frequencies are exaggerated and subdued in various places.

Thinking of upgrading my Apollo 8p interface to one of the newer X8p interfaces, so that I can use DSP for Sonarworks. But no real rush.

What are you using to create these graphs ?

Looks like a fun room!

If you're going for flat and even, you'll most likely want to set your desk up against the wall to your right to even out the distance between the walls and your speakers, and have the speakers firing down the length of your room. I understand living ergonomics at home may play a role in a "perfect" home studio setup (they do for me!) so one might just have to make it work and be aware of the acoustic pitfalls of one's own space.

I no longer have a studio/music room (yay kids) and have my desk in our master bedroom with my DIY acoustic panels in storage. Not ideal but such is life!

My studio is currently trashed.

You know when you’ve got so much shit piled up and then go to get something at the bottom of the pile and all that shit on top ends up on other piles of shit? Took an amp out of there on Saturday and I’ll need to clear a path to get back in. I think over t-day break I’m going to grab a 2nd desk and a storage rack to start tidying up a bit. When I sit at my computer I feel like Dollar Store Tim Pierce, surrounded by a bunch of shit.

Actual live view of my space right this moment. Complete with my “emotional support dumpster fire” from work, the love monkeys my daughter added, and, of course, a yodeling pickle:
