I really should play mine more . I haven’t really touched it in months. It’s got regular medium frets that are not worn but not my taste. I can’t decide whether to refret it or sell it. Sounds really good though.

Is that a Pegasus/Sentient combo? I love that set, I’d put it in my Hollowbody if they came nickel or gold covered. I went with a Custom and Jazz, can’t wait to install them.
Yep, bought a used set! They seem pretty divisive from what I’ve gathered. I think mine came stock in a guitar and got swapped quickly.

The stock pickups were fine but not great. Like too hi-fi and at the same time a bit flat.

I really like the results. The Pegasus isn’t as ”spiky” as the stock bridge HB and having an alnico magnet it gives a different high output ”flavor” compared to my other humbucker guitar with actives. The Sentient pickup is also really nice, smooth and feels pretty versatile. I kept the stock wiring and they split pretty nicely as well.

Looks great on the guitar too IMO.

What's got you confused?
I used to think McCarty meant fixed bridge but I’m not sure that’s correct. What do the numbers mean? Some have names, some have numbers. What is wood library? 10-top is like super sweet looking wood but are there 9-tops? I’m pretty sure the 513 is the one I’d like the best but I’d like to know more about the line.

McCarty is a more vintage spec instrument vs a custom. Thinner headstock, non locking tuners, different neck shape, thicker body (thicker mahogany but the maple top is the same), more vintage specced pickups and mostly fixed bridges. There have been a few with trem but not very many.

A custom has hotter pickups, locking tuners, thinner bodies and can be trem or stop tail.

Wood library is their stock of fancy wood. A 10 top is their highest grade outside of wood library and artist tops.

Every McCarty on PRS' site has a fixed bridge: https://prsguitars.com/products/mccarty - I think you're right there unless there's an outlier. A number - like 594, indicates it's a smaller scale length of 24.594". I don't know what 513 indicates, I also see there's a 509. Someone else will probably know that.

I think 513 was something do with 5 pickups and 13 sounds. The same for 509, five pickups and 9 sounds.

Well, I guess I’m not out of line for being confused then. So, what is a Core? CE? S2? SE? There has to be a web page that I can read (other than TOP 😂).
Core is Made in America top of line before it starts getting into Private Stock territory. The CE is Made in America with bolt on necks. The S2 is Made in America but less pizazz - less of a carved top than the Core line, not as flashy. The SE line is made overseas - arguably one of the best budget line of any of the big guitar brands
