I don't disagree. But I think him building these guitar designs is smart. It showcases some very unique technical advancements that will get people talking and spawn some business partnerships.Very cool stuff and Cem is clearly a very talented engineer, however my personal opinion is that they should focus on selling the bridge, nut and fret tech to OEM's and customers who want to retrofit their existing guitars. They should ditch the onboard electronics and switchable pickups. The ability to change pickups on the fly is something that pops up every few years and is never able to gain any traction in the market. The same goes for onboard pedals. The market has spoken and guitarists simply don't want either one. Lastly, I would recommend working with a designer to develop a more elegant body design and ditch the fake headstock. Floyd Rose had fake headstocks on their Speedloader-equipped guitars, and I always thought it was a mistake. In 2026 headless guitars are everywhere, so just embrace it. Just my 2 cents...
FWIW, he talks about this very idea, e.g. selling the bridge (and nut, presumably) as an OEM part to other manufacturers. Of course, they'll be very expensive parts, so I don't know how likely this is to take off. That's kind of a universal problem for innovative designs: guitarists have learned to live with old, flawed tech (we often celebrate the flaws, even), and that tech has become ubiquitous and inexpensive when it needs to be.Very cool stuff and Cem is clearly a very talented engineer, however my personal opinion is that they should focus on selling the bridge, nut and fret tech to OEM's and customers who want to retrofit their existing guitars. It looks like a Warlock body had an affair with Gumby.edit: I don't hate the body shape, it just needs a belly and forearm carve.. give it a little "parker" touch
