I still remember when the S2 CU24 was $1499 though, and now it’s $1949. It just seems like a lot, but when the Core CU24 has gone from $3K in 2015 to $4500 now, that’s outlandish.Don’t get me wrong; they‘re amazing guitars. But sweet Jesus.
Hard to believe I only paid $900 for my Core CE-24 a few years ago.
I agree, does seem unsustainable. But then again, they can’t make them fast enough, so what do I know.Seems unsustainable, but then again PRS probably knows their clientele….
True, however it’s interesting that it’s on the new stuff too. Dunno man, I just shoot them and upload them. The owner is the one who’s royally pissed.
Heck I’m stoked I got my core cu22 for $1700!
Im constantly cruising used listings and I’ve not really seen many deals close to that since
Luckily, PRS isn’t (yet) selling on their own site, so dealers don’t have to compete there. And technically, they’re getting 10% back on future orders. But it’s amusing, to put it mildly, when PRS is touting to dealers how amazing this is, when they’re also generally not cutting dealers slack on shipping either. Shipping has gotten to be a big problem, especially for the little guys who don’t buy as much as say SW.Not sure what the margins are on the PRS SE line, but in retail a 20% cut on anything is massive to the bottom-line.
Even worse when the manufacturer is also doing that same discount in their on-line store.
That said, that SE line is a great value right now.... for the consumer.

There’s a bunch I like quite a bit. The baritone is killer though for sure. I really really regret selling my Mushok, back in the day.100%. I wish I had interest in another SE line guitar included in the sale. Pumped to get the 277 at that price.
If the gold top DGT SE gets the sale treatment…
How is the Paul’s Guitar, I’ve been eyeballing one here?Just checked the prices, and wow.

Paid less than that for my PRS Paul's Guitar SE just two years ago.
You must have gotten a solid deal, because I don’t think those ever MAP’d less than $900. But given the margins on them, I wouldn’t be surprised.Just checked the prices, and wow.

Someone needs to stop me. I’ve purchased three SE models because of this sale.
