True, however it’s interesting that it’s on the new stuff too. Dunno man, I just shoot them and upload them. The owner is the one who’s royally pissed.
Yeah, that blows hard for him! You have an agreement NOT to undercut your dealer network. Breaking that rule
kind of tells us how desperate PRS must be right now.
I know brands like PRS hold a dealer's feet to the fire, and have retail minimums, and inventory quotas just to be a dealer.
So if PRS and Fender are doing this, then I can only imagine the glut of stock is all too real right now.

Not sure what the margins are on the PRS SE line, but in retail a 20% cut on anything is massive to the bottom-line.
Even worse when the manufacturer is also doing that same discount in their on-line store.
That said, that SE line is a great value right now.... for the consumer.

I saw a nice teal McCarty Singlecut SE and jumped on it. Ever since I got the Tele, I've found myself wanting something LP-ish. I considered an Epiphone, since it seems their Modern and Prophecy lines are pretty well liked, but I used to be big on SE's, so I'm going back to my roots.

Luckily, PRS isn’t (yet) selling on their own site, so dealers don’t have to compete there. And technically, they’re getting 10% back on future orders. But it’s amusing, to put it mildly, when PRS is touting to dealers how amazing this is, when they’re also generally not cutting dealers slack on shipping either. Shipping has gotten to be a big problem, especially for the little guys who don’t buy as much as say SW.

If the gold top DGT SE gets the sale treatment…

There’s a bunch I like quite a bit. The baritone is killer though for sure. I really really regret selling my Mushok, back in the day.100%. I wish I had interest in another SE line guitar included in the sale. Pumped to get the 277 at that price.

You must have gotten a solid deal, because I don’t think those ever MAP’d less than $900. But given the margins on them, I wouldn’t be surprised.

It's an incredible instrument. I bought a 2019 model, as has long become my main guitar. I feel it plays, and sounds, like an instrument many times its price. The only thing i'd probably change on it would be a thinner neck, but it still plays like a dream as it is.
Plenty of tones on it, too. Those TCI pickups can pull wonderful single-coil sounds when split.
The 2022-2023 models look slightly different/simplified. I noticed right away that the tops seem to be much thinner.
