but it's not. I doubt this will ever get shipped out to me, but no harm in trying.Feels like stealing.

Hmm...I've been looking at a baritone or seven string. Need to clear out some gear first. Should really pay off those credit cards though.
I ordered 2
I’ve played that Bari 277, very competent guitar. For $650 I don’t think I’ll be able to resist.
They really aren't. They're fucking retailers, tbh. Not trying to discourage anyone from doing this, but they really gave dealers a raw dealer on this one.Other than the DGT, all SE's are 20% of through the end of the year everywhere. According to Phil McNight it's different from Fender undercutting stores by offering discounts on their website. PRS is apparently supporting their retailers on this.
Not looking myself, but I thought I'd share.
OK. Phillip McKnight said they were working with their retailers on this, unlike Fender who just discounted things on their website. He usually has some inside info, but I can't say anything on this from first hand knowledge. They really aren't. They're fucking retailers, tbh. They are, to a point. And yes it's better than what Fender does, for sure. 20% off at the store, then the store gets back 10% on their next order. So the store loses 10%+shipping costs entirely. Again, not nearly as bad as Fender, but they could have done better.OK. True, however it’s interesting that it’s on the new stuff too. Dunno man, I just shoot them and upload them. The owner is the one who’s royally pissed. It probably means they have a shitload of stock sitting somewhere, and it is far more than they can ship to retailers
who are probably already experiencing a glut of PRS SE inventory.
There are a ridiculous amount of SE’s for sale on Reverb. My LGS is sitting on a dozen Silver Sky SE’s alone and they’re a fairly small PRS dealer. It probably means they have a shitload of stock sitting somewhere, and it is far more than they can ship to retailers

And to make it worse, they priced the SE’s so low that upgrading to a Core, which are at an all time high, is going to be a tough sell for the average prospective PRS customer.
I think you’re thinking of the bolt-on stuff; the most expensive normal production S2 is $2049. But that’s definitely up a lot over the last few years. And the Core models are well outpacing inflation. PRS is out of their minds, IMO. As nice as they are, $4500 for a bone stock Core CU24 is a lot of money.shit, even the price hikes on the S2s is insane. At one point they were an awesome value new, now they're all in the mid $2ks

I still remember when the S2 CU24 was $1499 though, and now it’s $1949. It just seems like a lot, but when the Core CU24 has gone from $3K in 2015 to $4500 now, that’s outlandish.Don’t get me wrong; they‘re amazing guitars. But sweet Jesus. Not even I’m just trippin lol, just checked the prices I had in my head was for the 10th anniversary stuff that’s around $2400. I didn’t realize that distinction til just now I just thought everything was going for thet
I guess $2049 being the most expensive is better lol
I dream of owning a core HBII one day, but not for $5g
