Other than the DGT, all SE's are 20% of through the end of the year everywhere. According to Phil McNight it's different from Fender undercutting stores by offering discounts on their website. PRS is apparently supporting their retailers on this.

Not looking myself, but I thought I'd share.

Looks like the Gear Glut is in full effect!! There are going to be more sales forthcoming, as
manufacturers try and sell off the overstock from the ramped up production, due to that
massive leap in demand that was a just a blip, and not a new trend. :idk

Over the weekend, Sam ash had new PRS DGT SEs marked down to $719.20 then they offered a 20% off code to bring it down to $575 new. Too bad the shipping to Hawaii would've took away all the savings. Not that I'd be ever interested in PRS guitars :bag

Hmm...I've been looking at a baritone or seven string. Need to clear out some gear first. Should really pay off those credit cards though.

SE Mira under $600 is a pretty solid buy. Silver Sky under $700 too.

There is a pre-S2 Core mira on my local CL for $1k in a cool seafoam color. Been sitting for ages, glut indeed that price is pretty great

I"ve been real tempted, but I feel like I hate that body shape lol

I loved almost everything about my Mira. It was such a comfortable body shape, easy to play, rang out for days, locking tuners, etc. Like a way better version of an SG (mine had the glossy transparent cherry red finish). Mine I got used for under $800 too (S2 model) with Lollar Imperials and the aftermarket Mann adjustable bridge too.

But it was really dark/warm sounding, worse than a Les Paul. No bite or energy to the tone. Replaced pickups, replaced electronics, changed out the bridge, strings, setup, everything. It sounded awesome unplugged but bad plugged in. Damn shame because it was a killer guitar otherwise.

My current S2 Standard 24 is really similar but 24 frets and with a tremolo, and it sounds quite lively and balanced both plugged in and unplugged. Not sure why that Mira was off.

Really would love to try another Mira, especially an older Core model in the transparent red finish.

The bold part is why the "tone only comes from the pickups" camp will perpetually get an eye roll from me lol.

They blew up the SE line by dozens of models post-Pandemic. Looks like it may
have been a bit premature.

I think we see the effects of ramped up production (takes a couple of years to get the
tooling and manufacturing in place, not to mention the design) so my hunch is all of
these models are the result of a boost in production to meet the demand of 2020. It
ain't 2020 no more and people are feeling pinched from 2 years of unchecked inflation,
interest rates that pumped up people's mortgages, and an host of other factors impacting
the average consumers bottom line.

I predict some pain for gear manufacturers in the next couple of years. Hopefully they
socked away some $$$ from those record profits and didn't just dump it all into new
products and production. If they did, they may be a bit fucked here soon enough. :idk

Considering they just had Cort open up an entirely separate plant exclusively for SEs last year a huge drop in SE sales could be pretty unfortunate for them. Then again, since it is still a Cort owned/operated facility maybe the liability wouldn't fall on them :idk

Just ordered this from Sam Ash. Now let's see if they actually honor the sale.
