Project BIAS-X

Really? I've never used their stuff, but I stumbled upon this chick's videos back before I landed on an Axe Fx, and seriously considered buying whatever Bias product she's using, because all her tones sounded great.

Here's 2:

I have Bias FX2, Bias Amp 2, and a Spark on loan. I just think it sucks compared to other stuff.

I’ve got Helix Native, Amplitube 5, S-Gear, Genome, ToneX, NAM stuff, etc. I find it hard to believe I can get great tones out of all that stuff, but somehow Positive Grid eludes me. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Who knows.

Well I figured she knew a LOT more about gear than I did, since she was removing tracks from original recordings and making her own stems of several of the covers she played, plus I couldn't find much support online for dialing in tones, like there was for the Fractal stuff (Leon & Cooper, for example; in fact Cooper's vids pushed me over the top on Fractal), which I knew I'd need. So I'm glad I didn't choose Bias.

Back then (2018-ish) I knew nothing about all this modeling tech! The only other thing I knew was that I didn't want anything from Line 6, since I'd heard that Spider amp they made back in the day, whom a buddy of mine thought sounded awesome, but really sounded like dog shit. So, right or wrong, I ruled them out. Funny how older experiences with brands can shape your opinions of them..., forever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And crazy as it may seem, the Bias stuff seemed priced too low for it to be high enough quality, in my opinion, again, right or wrong. That was 6 years ago; today I know that's not a factor.
