Paul Fig is awesome, engineered a ton of albums Nick Raskulinecz produced and came up through Sound City with Barresi. I think they’ve also worked on tons of things together and have a pretty similar approach and vibe. Lots of stuff about guitar recording and production in general.

im glad some bands are still playing live in the studio, but man do i hate recording my guitar cab in another room. i will never do that again if i can avoid it. easiest way to feel like youre phoning it in. bleh!
