Also, it's got a tone match feature so you can make IRs of your favourite Tones - kinda like kemper / fractal style.

Does it allow you to export tone matches as an impulse response?

You can also export an IR of any mix of all the IRs you've loaded up (upto 8 IRs) - that I know for sure.

That’s cool. I typically use EQ Match in Logic, which is similar to Tone Matching, but shooting and exporting an IR is kind of a pain. I’ll definitely check this out. Thanks man!

Not sure about Logic, but I have a 3rd party script in Reaper that just makes an IR of any plugin chain of the track you have selected.
So if you want an IR of a mix you've made in eg. Cab Lab, then that's trivial. Takes seconds.
Or.... in this case, your 'eq match' ...

Logic includes an “Impulse Response Utility” that sends sweeps through Logic and lets you export them. Both this and the built-in EQ Match plugin are pretty old but do the job. It’s just a very convoluted process.

I've been waiting for them to bring this out for probably a year or more. No demo, no IR export and kinda pricey but all that is ok because I know they have a good enough reputation and it'll be worth it.

I bought it and it looks like you need a USB ilok device, it's not working for software/cloud verification. I didn't even realise this was a thing... Out of the thousands of dollars I've spent on software + all the NFR codes I've been sent, this is the first ever requiring a USB device.

I'm going to email them to see if there's a workaround and if not, a hopeful refund. I'm not posting this here to be a jerk about it, it's just taken me by surprise that this is a thing and I think others might encounter the same. More of a PSA.

That being said, I am tempted to get an ilok USB just for the sake of it, I prefer the idea of that in case I need it, rather than say for example 'cloud ilok' .... which is ghastly in my view.

Ive had problems with USB's dying in the past. Cloud/local ILOK was the saviour there, im not going back.
If I had known that a company could limit to USB activation only I'd have checked for it but it's not been a consideration in the past 5-10 years of buying plugins, but it is for this one, wild.

Yeah I've written the problem to the chatbot and got the below, not great but it is what it is for now. I've got the tab open and dont really expect a response for several hours or more.

If there's a positive resolution then some of these speedbumps I can live with but if it all ends up with "too bad this is your fault for not reading" then that's not going to be great

IMHO you cannot beat the CabLab + York pack.

CabLab's major issue is the inability to export IRs. If Fractal added that I'd be much more interested in it as Fractal's cabs are good.

Tis a closed eco-system ultimately. They don't want you interfacing their IR's with other platforms. It is a bit annoying, but I get the business logic behind it.
