Y’all crazy and awesome. :ROFLMAO:

Is a Tele a Tele with a humbucker in the bridge? I went SSS with my strat, to get the full strat experience when playing it. Wondering if it’s the same thing with a Tele, where if you’re going to get one, get one with the single coil.

Happy the JM and SG have gotten a few mercy votes.

Old school traditional - (you better get a 3 saddle bridge too if you go this route - no tummy or forearm contours either!), or modern?

The way I see it is once you break any of those traditions you may as well fully customize it for your main use.
You plan on playing more Gojira or Brent Mason?

My default style is more garage rock I suppose. Honestly I was leaning a touch more to the JM or SG, because I think those more fit my riffage. (The JM because I do live in chorus/verb/delay land quite a bit, and I’m thinking that may be good for that kinda of ambient stuff) But, I’ve really dug playing with the strat because it kind of forces me to play differently. That’s where I thought a tele might be cool, to push me into a different head space.

SG might be the safest. Kinda works with everything.

Split the difference and get one of these ...

Tele bridge is important imo, and more useful/versatile/accessible than a strat bridge (again imo)

I picked Tele - I think that would be the most different tonally from your other guitars.
As usual, I agree with dbagchee on this one. Jazzmasters...just don't sound THAT different than strats to me? :bag The neck pickup on the SG is a different vibe than the LP, but you probably kinda have that covered in your RG. Tele bridge pickup is the one thing on that list that is stand-out different compared to what you've already got.

A Jazzmaster-style guitar with heavy strings (JMs tend to play and perform better
with something like .011s or above) and then tuned to C or D Standard is a thing of beauty. :chef

I did the same thing over the last few years to get some variety.

Tele vs Jazzmaster...I think a Tele is more crucial. They cover some of the same ground, but a good Tele can rock more than a Jazzmaster (yeah a JM can do fuzz and shoegaze but not as much the Stones type of thing). I've tried some different pickups in the JM and honestly something like Filtertrons would be really cool if I could find them. Otherwise I'd just do the Tele.

Semi-hollow...my 335 hasn't been nearly as cool as I thought it would be. It sounds a lot like a Les Paul to me. Again, what would be more useful is something like a Gretsch with Filtertrons.
